Good evening,

The Iranian KM410 (korean made M38 copy) is finished. I add the Warrior figures and finsh the small vignette.
The action takes place during the Iran-Irak war, as the iranian army leaded a counter-offensive in the Khuzestan province for the liberation of Khorramshahr from the Iraqis on 24 May 1982.

I also used the Dust Diggers Pigments on the the vehicle and the ground. The website has just opened :

Good night....

Today, the hairspray technique wil be discussed.
It's been a long time I wanted to try this technique. The Iranian M38 appears a good opportunity due to its "used look".
After airbrushing a grey primer, I applied the original us army green paint using the zenithal illumination way (the upper areas are lightened and the bottom one are darkened)
(the 106 RR gun receives a coat of satin black)
I sprayed a coat of hairspray. Actually I applied two coats on the parts that I wanted more damaged.
I let it dry for 10 minutes before airbrushing the desert yellow colors (I used 3 shades of yellow).
Another dry time of 10 minutes.
I removed this yellow color by using a lot of water and a small dedicated paint brush.
I noticed that the vallejo paint makes largest chips and is easier to remove than the tamiya paint.
And the more the parts receive hairspray, the easier the paint can be removed.
A coat of Klir is applied to stop the removing process.
Have a nice day.

Another jeep, that I began last year.
Originally, the inspiration was given by the Warrior iranian crew.

I found some pictures of this jeep in service in israelian and brazilian army. I also had a new information about this vehicle :
this is the M38A1 korean copy named KM410.

(Source : http://www.warwheels.net/M38A1CRRjeepHAUGH.html)

Be that as it may, I intend to represent this model on a small base, maybe a mountain area.

Not special advice about this kit, it took me an afternoon to assemble it, the general detail and quality is excellent and I chose to build it out of the box.

Have a nice.
